Manuscript on Hadith (sayings and deeds of the Prophet Muḥammad) by Aḥmad Nūr al-Dīn (an obsucre author), being a commentary on al-Arbaʻīn al-Nawawīyah, a collection of forty Hadiths intended to summerize the Islamic doctrines, selected by Yaḥyá ibn Sharaf al-Nawawī (1233-1277), a famous and prolific Muslim scholar from the village of Nawá in Ḥawrān, Syria, an authority on Hadith and Islamic law. Written for His Highness Mīrālāy Afandim Muḥammad Amīn Bīk (could not be identified) on Tuesday, 21 Shaʻbān, 1258 H (27 September, 1842), probably in Egypt.
